Sofa on the run
Sunday April 9 2006, a sofa won the yearly marathon of Rotterdam.
The sofa was taking part in the marathon to demonstrate for a personal aim, to bring back the popularity of upholstered furniture:
“Well-tried sofas and armchairs are abandoned in streets, they have to give way to fancy lounge-seats. Upholstered furniture reclaim for their spot in every family-live. Upholstered furniture is tired of taking burn-mal, to bear children jumping on them and then left behind as waste product in streets. (…)”
The sofa will continue fighting for its rights in the “Polstergruppentherapieraum” in Blaak10 soon.
